Over 100 people attended NARIP’s March 26th brunch at Universal Mastering Studios in Los Angeles. Special thanks to Discmakers’ Sydney Alston for hatching and executing the idea to bring a NARIP brunch to Universal, and to Nick Dofflemyer and Blair Milby for opening their excellent facility to our friendly music biz mob.

Studio Director Nick Dofflemeyer says he was “astounded” by the turn-out. In fact, he added, since attending NARIP’s brunch the previous month at Open Mind Creations, he’s brought in three new clients and had many people who have come to check out the studio, which is now open to outside projects. NARIP is delighted to cultivate and enable these and other opportunities for members and attendees, and to create the best possible environment for all of us to do business together. We hear many cool deals are in the air, and toward that end, please let us know YOUR success stories!

Many great people were introduced at NARIP’s brunch and had a chance to mix and mingle with all manner of music biz types, from producers to label personnel, music publishers, artist development execs as well as music trade publication and marketing execs not to mention artists and some seeking to get a leg up in the business. Several people ran out of business cards, unaccustomed to meeting such a large volume of great folks in one place at the same time. NARIP’s next brunch takes place April 16 at Weinglass Music in LA - full details at www.narip.com.

Don’t miss it!
